What’s the Difference between filtration and purification?

Let’s face it, there is a lot of information out there regarding water filtration. All water filtration does something to the water, they all filter something out. Many of the systems on the market today do a great job at filtering water but what do they do exactly?

To find that out you have to test the water to see if it has changed on a molecular level. Direct tests to see what is being removed, is the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) number significantly lower. If the TDS number is not lower you’re not getting purified water you’re getting filtered water. To find out what it is filtering exactly you have to get accurate testing done.
